There is a team of Connexions Personal Advisers with particular responsibility for young people in special schools. Personal Advisers aim to build close relationships with both the young people and their parents.

Skill: National Bureau for Students with Disabilities are a national charity promoting opportunities for young people and adults with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment.

Cheshire Centre for independent living provides services for physically disabled people, children, people with learning disabilities and users of mental health services.

Warrington Disability Partnership actively promote independent living by providing information on peer counselling, housing, equipment, personal assistance, transport, access, employment, education, training and other services.
